This is a mural painted by Year 9 students from Woodridge State High School.

The painting has been done on storage containers for your bike. You can lock it up here and then catch the train.

Hairdresser for ... Men

I liked the colours of this building where men can get a Macho hairstyle. The colours are those that used to be displayed on a rotating pole in front of traditional barber shops.

This is the mural up the other end of the building. I took this several days ago and when I drove past it on the weekend, it now has graffiti on it. Many, many years this has been here, and one senseless act can ruin it in an instant.

This is Logan City's community radio station, 101 FM.

Radio Logan Incorporated was established in 1984 after Logan City Council advertised for interested persons to establish a community Radio Station. Read more of the history here. You can also listen live.

To help buses get around better, bus lanes have been added so they can get around traffic.

No Water Waterfall

Due to water restrictions because of the drought, this waterfall had to be turned off. This area was really beautiful and impressive with the waterfall going.

It was a very popular place for the married couple to come here and have their photos taken.

We did get a little rain and that is why there is water in there now.

New Gardens

Galah

Galahs have a bouncing acrobatic flight, but spend much of the day sheltering from heat in the foliage of trees and shrubs. The voice is a distinctive high-pitched screech, 'chi-chi'. Huge noisy flocks of birds congregate and roost together at night.

Start of a Series - Round trip tour

My tour starts here at this colourful path just below the carpark next to Go Video. I will go from here to my left under the railway bridge past the waterfall (that is turned off). I will then follow the road beside the train tracks, cross the bridge over the train tracks past the station and then return to near this point.

Walking on water part 2

This shows two of the birds using the lilypads to cross the water. The one on the left shows the lilypad submirged and the one on the right you can't even see it, but it is standing on one.

Bike Ramps

This area has been purpose built for bikes (pedal type). To the left of this area is the concrete ramps for bikes and skateboard riders to practice and display their skills.

The area in the photo has a concrete ramp with cover to the right and can be used to start races over the humps as see above. I wasn't in time to get a photo of some people using this area as when they finished the circuit, they rode off.

It would take a lot of skill to ride as fast as you can to win the race, but also not to go so fast as to fall off your bike if you can't control it. This is only a small portion of the track and continues back and forth down lower.

Two of the locals take a rest after much swimming, playing and eating.

Walking on water

This unusual looking bird uses the lilypads to "walk on water". Not once did he fall in and it was amazing to watch.

Smart Tree

I believe this tree has found a way to beat the drought.
